Let us all pray for him and his family that loved him. He is now at peace with his mother.
I have numerous of his emails detailing the abuses and his mother’s death and I will be pulling them and publishing them. The miscreants in his case (evil sis and others) made his life miserable, killed his mother, and he was so pained by all of this, he could not talk about it publicly.

Victims of abused loved ones never get a break, our fight is so intense that we many times forgo all and everything, even food, hoping each morning when we wake up, that day will be the day of liberation, but then at the end of the day, each evening, we realize it was not, we were wrong! And our hope once again dwindles as we see the night approach and we say how could we keep failing to find the real end and final solution to this nightmare, where is the key to turn this off and make it stop. Is there no entity nor hero in the world that will help us stop these crimes to our loved ones? Rudy was an intelligent, caring and sensitive man who was clearly terrorized by the events that transpired in his mother’s guardianship. He was, as JoAnne said, frightened of discussing what happened to her publicly. At a time when these assaults on oiur loved ones are becoming increasingly common, I hope we will all somehow transcend the fear that these circumstances may incur and boldly and righteously confront this evil. Yes, Rudy was a beautiful person, a beautiful writer, but he is a legacy to all TELL YOUR STORY, TELL YOUR TRUTH.
Unfortunately, he hid it all under a bushel basket and it did not get published to help many others.
Eventually we will pull his writings and publish them as a tribute to his work and his glory and you will then all see the truth.

The Cosby case highlights a problem that has to be addressed. Cosby was accused and found guilty of serious statutory sexual violations. The evidentiary ruling as to the admissibility of other alleged bad acts (for which he was never prosecuted for an most of which were more than a decade old) will certainly be the gravamen of the appeal, but there is an issue that is even more troubling. The media reported that the jury inquired of the judge as to the meaning of the word consent. (This appears to be one of the statutory words). The judge refused to give the jury a definition. His statement reported was that the statute did not define the word. (He therefore acknowledged that the statute was vague – he could have said to the jury that the statute contemplated the common dictionary definition of the word, but he did not) The SCOTUS in the case of Connelly v General Construction 269 US 385 , 391 (1926) in words and phrases pointed out that the RULE OF LAW was not a trap for the unwary – if the common man on the street could not reasonably determine if he was violating the statute or not, the statute was unconstitutional. Today the media recounts literal searches (witch hunts) to by the POLITICAL ELITE to find people not in favor have violated the RULE OF LAW. This action is clearly wrong and in derogation of public policy – in our democracy such cannot be allowed. Such is true in the case of even a person who has disappointed almost every American who considered Mr. Cosby to as a hero. In fact – to many of us he was about as wonderful a role model as any human being could be and we all feel betrayed. If 10% of the averments made against him are 25% true we in my opinion have the right to feel betrayed. HOWEVER, as a citizen Cosby is entitled to not be trapped by a vague statute anchored by a portable defined prohibition.

But Mr. Lanier’s specialty is suing over those replacements, and this week he was slapped down for distortions in court. The three-judge panel ruled that U.S. district court Judge Ed Kinkeade in Dallas had erred in allowing Mr. Lanier to present “inflammatory character evidence” against J&J.
Mr. Lanier’s stunts were so “obvious, egregious and impactful” that they prejudiced the jury against the company, wrote appellate Judge Jerry Smith. The jury had originally awarded $502 million before Judge Kinkeade reduced it to the merely extortionary $151 million. That would still be a nice payday for Mr. Lanier, since tort lawyers in Texas typically get 40% of the award.

He also recounted a former employee’s allegations of racism at Johnson & Johnson. “Lanier tainted the result by inviting the jury to infer guilt based on no more than prior bad acts” and “that alone provides grounds for a new trial,” Judge Smith wrote.
Mr. Lanier also told the jury that two of his expert witnesses were unpaid and thus unbiased. “Lanier repeatedly leveraged the false contrast between [Johnson & Johnson’s] paid mercenaries and the plaintiffs’ unpaid altruists to his clients’ advantage,” Judge Smith wrote. But Mr. Lanier had already donated $10,000 to a charity on one witness’s behalf, and after the trail he paid the two of them a total of $65,000.
“Lawyers cannot engage with a favorable expert, pay him ‘for his time,’ then invite him to testify as a purportedly ‘non-retained’ neutral party,” Judge Smith wrote. “That’s deception, plain and simple. And to follow that up with a post-trial ‘thank you’ check merely compounds the professional indiscretion.”
The case is headed for a retrial with Mr. Lanier (alas) and the same judge, who we hope has learned a lesson in policing dishonesty.

Interesting. I have a complaint by a litigant where 2 jurors sat on a jury but lied about not having a criminal record when in fact they had plenty of criminal record entries. This did not phase the judge, she ruled that to get a new trial the litigant will now have to hold an evidentiary hearing and show actual bias! Doesn’t seem like she wants to hold a new trial at all and she thinks all is well.
How about another idea? Waive the statute of limitations for elderly or disabled victims of guardians/fiducaries. There are no statutes of limitations for other heinious crimes
The entire human trafficking scenario is frustrating – a metaphor to describe it characterize the victim as being – LACTOSE INTOLERANT in a SEA OF YOGURT!

The long and short is we have to target our own public servants and demand that they do their jobs! 18 USCA 4 demands that we report the criminal activity of elder cleaning/human trafficking in the elderly to law enforcement. (That is the Administrative/Executive branch of government)
Public officials in violation of 18 USCA 371 joining in or acting in concert with the human traffickers are violating civil rights – why are these public officials being given a pass?
